Most any woodworker is well-acquainted with the router vast array of uses. The tool comes in handy for many projects around the house, both functional and decorative.  They can be used for a range of cutting, trimming, and shaping tasks on wood, plastic, some types of metal, and laminates. Indeed, many woodworkers consider the router to be the single most versatile woodworking power tool in their arsenal. At its most basic, a router is used to hollow out or “rout”, a groove or hole producing finished edges, cutaways, curved contours, and precise holes. Routers are frequently the go-to tool for decorative molding and cabinetry. There are literally hundreds of router bits available, all designed for different patterns and uses.  Our router comes with one of our stock bits which we have in a variety of sized and styles.
