A “torpedo” or “salamander” heater generates heat, then uses a fan to push the heated air out of the unit and directly into the area requiring heat. Torpedo heaters are a simple form of portable heater and only require an electrical outlet and propane which you provide, opr which are available for rental here at Taylor. Do NOT run these heaters unattended .
These propane units output 25-50k btu’s and operate off of a 20lb or larger tank
REMEMBER- these units are only legal for use in construction and similar applications and can not be used in a facility where people are currently living.
